Kaiser Permanente
For Kaiser Permanente’s Medicare Open Enrollment campaign, Graffects partnered with HERO Marketing to help produce, shoot, composite and distribute more than 350 versions of a national DRTV spot across eight major markets. The campaign ran for three years, supported by research-driven creative, motion design, compositing and online enrollment content.
Celgene
We created an educational video to help patients understand what happens to their cells after they are sent to the Celgene treatment facility during the CAR T process. Through clear visual storytelling and approachable medical information, we aimed to reduce uncertainty, address common fears and give patients a greater sense of understanding, reassurance and hope as they moved through treatment.
Dupixent
We developed a cast of animated characters based on real patients, carefully translating their appearance, personality and individual experiences into a warm, relatable visual style. We also designed each environment from the ground up, using location, color, props and everyday details to support the emotional tone of each story. Together, the characters and settings helped us present authentic product experiences in a testimonial format that felt personal, engaging and visually cohesive.
Dupixent – Eczema
The objective was to create an approachable educational video about uncontrolled moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis and encourage better patient-provider conversations. Working from Sandri Johnson’s interview, we shaped the footage into a clear, engaging narrative through thoughtful editing, pacing and cleanup. We also designed and composited animated graphics, typography, transitions, product imagery and required medical content, balancing an empathetic human story with the visual consistency and regulatory precision pharmaceutical communications demand.
Dupixent – Asthma
We created a lively patient testimonial that transforms an at-home interview recorded during the pandemic into a polished, visually engaging story. Through careful editing, pacing and color correction, we shaped Pam’s experience into a clear narrative about living with asthma. To elevate the original request, we introduced custom 2D motion design alongside dimensional 3D elements, including props, environments and product-related visuals, creating a richer, more dynamic piece while preserving warmth, clarity and authenticity.
Entyvio
We created a series of custom 2D over-the-shoulder animations to reinforce key clinical information without interrupting the physician-led presentation. Using branded color, typography, iconography and medical illustrations, we translated complex topics—including disease pathways, screening methods and treatment data—into clear, digestible visual moments. Each graphic was carefully designed, animated, tracked and composited into the live-action footage, with perspective, scale and placement tailored to the individual shot for a polished, integrated result.
HPP – Hypophosphatasia
We created a fully illustrated 2D animated Mechanism of Disease video to help Alexion’s Metabolic Team educate patients and caregivers about hypophosphatasia. Working from the established brand guide, we developed custom illustrations, iconography and motion systems to translate complex medical information into a clear, approachable story. We combined medical writing, voiceover, animation and visual pacing into a cohesive three-to-four-minute piece designed for web and social platforms around Rare Disease Day.
Stemline
Our objective was to transform a physician-led discussion of ESR1 mutation testing into a clear, accessible educational piece. We shaped the interview through editing, pacing and visual hierarchy, then applied color correction to create a consistent look. Custom illustrations and 2D motion graphics were developed to explain complex testing concepts, treatment resistance and patient pathways, while animated typography, panels and transitions kept the information engaging, cohesive and simple to follow.
